A:Yes, we can. Although, the answer depends on levels of oxidation. Painted surfaces like wood and Hardie siding always have oxidation to some level (Oxidation is the breaking down of the color pigments based on age/ environment).
Once cleaned, the oxidation may look and feel chalkie. Power washing is recommended before painting to remove oxidation. Soft Washing is recommended to clean the siding but may not remove oxidation.
The Gutterman Services team can wash cement style “hardie siding” and painted wood siding.
Frankly, we can soft wash anything. We can power wash most things that intense water pressure won’t damage. In both cases, the soaps and surfactants are used to remove mold, mildew and bacteria that create dirt, grime, etc. on the surface. However, oxidation levels may remain.
Our highly trained techs won’t wash anything they know won’t be improved by the effort. If it will harm things, then we won’t soft or power wash it and simply advise the homeowner of our concerns.
