First of all, thank you to Ed, Ann and Terry!!!  The troughs worked perfectly.

By way of background, this is the church on the corner of Lake Newport and Fairfax County Parkway in Reston.  We held the event on the same night as the opening ceremonies of the Olympics so the round tables had Olympic decorations and the long tables were used to make the splits.  We made this an Olympic competition.  Old men against young men.  Old guys on the green table an young men on the blue.  I put a couple of bags of ice in each trough until just before we made the splits.  That cooled the gutter down. what is my ip? .  We used two to three gallons of ice cream, twenty bananas, three cans of whipped cream (a bit much), and one pound of strawberries per gutter.  We used chocolate sauce and caramel.  Finally, sliced almonds topped everything.
